Originally from Jamaica, Mooji spent much of his life living in Brixton, London, before more recently moving to “Monte Sahaja” in South West Portugal. Mooji is a direct disciple of Papaji and greatly celebrated for the accessibility of his teachings via. Anthony worked in London’s ‘West End’ as a street portrait artist for many years, then as a painter and a stained glass artist, and later as a teacher at Brixton College. Mooji lives in Portugal, where he runs a 30-hectare ashram called Monte Sahaja.

Activities at the ashram are funded through the UK-based charity Mooji Foundation Ltd. Mooji Media Ltd in the UK, and Associação Mooji Sangha in Portugal. When one discovers the fullness of emptiness, one wishes for nothing more. Mooji spent several auspicious months at Papaji’s feet, where whatever still remained of an active ego was finally uprooted through his Master’s grace.

Soon after, recognising Mooji ’s radiance, people from various parts of the world began to approach him to simply sit in his presence and ask questions regarding their spiritual search.
